Day of Action Logo

Day of Action is United Way biggest volunteer event. Community members are matched up with our Partner Agencies to help out with special projects that help them serve their clients better. Projects may include painting, gardening, organizing a room, building a stage; whatever it is, we ensure projects are meaningful and build capacity for nonprofits around Yavapai.

We are looking for volunteers of all ages who are passionate about giving back to their community. So invite your family, friends and coworkers to a day filled of fun and compassion! We hope to see you there.

If you cannot volunteer your time but can volunteer your services, we would love to promote your business either through sponsoring our event or through in-kind donations, such as; water, coffee, small breakfast items, or anything that fits into our event!

Mission Statement

United Way of Yavapai County Mission is to "Unite people, organizations and resources to improve lives and build strong communities throughout Yavapai County"

Description

The United Way of Yavapai County (UWYC) is a dynamic, community building organization serving individuals and families who live in beautiful Yavapai County. We are a collaborative agency driven by people dedicated to our mission!

United Way envisions communities where everyone has the opportunity for a good life: a quality education that leads to a stable job, enough income to support a family through retirement, and resources available for sustained good health. By mobilizing the caring power of communities to advance the common good, we can achieve these goals.

As a community-impact agent UWYC strives to identify unmet needs and address them by funding programs and networking with experienced agencies. Your donation is considered an "investment" in our community and it is our goal to maximize the return on every investment! This is best accomplished through outcome-based funding. Once community needs are identified we partner with local agencies and target funding toward programs that are based in prevention with a focus on creating solutions. We invest in programs considered to be the building blocks of healthy communities
