Dorchester Paws has many animals that need both short and long term foster homes. We have animals that need a 2 week break before being transferred to rescues; a 60-90 day recuperation period from heart worm treatment; animals that need medical care; animals that just need a break from shelter life and some special cases that need a home to be in because they are seniors and do not thrive well in a shelter environment.

Mission Statement
Dorchester Paws strives to instill humane principles into society through the prevention of cruelty to animals. We envision a world where every animal goes on the journey from victim to victory. We are committed to ending unnecessary euthanasia and giving every animal a chance; combating overpopulation by encouraging spaying & neutering; championing responsible pet ownership through pubic education; feeding the hungry, sheltering the homeless and protecting the abused; and reuniting lost pets with their families and finding homes for strays.
