We’re looking for committed individuals with hybrid skill sets - writers, artists, educators, social workers, and therapists - to help out in varying capacities at our writing workshops around Boston. We’re a 501(c)3 nonprofit whose mission is to bring free writing and arts workshops to the most unheard and underserved members of our community. If you’re looking to improve access for those most marginalized members of our society and to build relationships with people from all walks of life, we just might be perfect for each other!

Mission Statement
Dedicated to the fusion of art and advocacy, we take literature beyond conventional spaces. Our mission is to expand access to the literary arts for unheard and under-resourced communities in Greater Boston -- including those isolated by the challenges of addiction recovery, trauma, poverty, disability, and mental illness -- through free collaborative writing workshops, public readings, and publication opportunities intended to empower community, amplify the voices of individuals, and to share stories with the world.
Description
Dedicated to the fusion of art and advocacy, we connect the rich literary traditions and resources of Greater Boston with its artists and authors to empower, enable, and amplify the voices of unheard and underserved populations through free collaborative workshops, public readings, literary journals, video publications, and exhibits that showcase their work and encourage personal reflection and re-vision, by both author and audience, while sharing their stories with the world.
Since our inception as a 501(c)3 charitable organization, we have provided free writing workshops in partnership with homeless shelters, community health centers, youth services agencies, prison reentry programs, addiction rehabilitation facilities, and public libraries in lower income neighborhoods around the Greater Boston area. Our workshops are intended to expand access to literary arts for everyone, including those marginalized, stigmatized, or isolated by the challenges of addiction recovery, disability, trauma, sickness, injury, poverty, and mental illness.
We are currently in 8 locations, in and around the Greater Boston Area, and are seeking individuals with hybrid backgrounds in education, expressive arts, literature, creative writing, therapy, counseling, poetry, youth mentorship, and human services to facilitate workshops in diverse and multicultural populations of all ages.
