Local VA needs volunteer drivers to help disabled veterans get
to medical appointments
Do you have a valid driver license and a little spare time? The Department of Washington Disabled American Veterans and your local VA is looking for some help driving disabled veterans to and from medical appointments.
This Disabled American Veterans program in the State of Washington has faced driver shortages before, but this one is so bad that the program will have to begin telling people "no" when they ask for a ride.
"This may lead to many veterans not being able to get the medical care they need," the Transportation Director for DAV wrote in a release.
