Purpose:
Seeking an intern to help fundraise for the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library’s annual fundraiser, BrewNost. BrewNost is an international beer, wine, and food tasting event held at the museum. This year BrewNost will host it’s 15th anniversary on Friday, Sept. 14, 2018 from 5:30-10:00 p.m. The goals of the fundraiser is to raise money for the museum’s operating fund and to provide a high-quality, unique international beer festival for the community. The internship dates are flexible, but the intern must be present the day of the event with increased availability the weeks leading up. This internship is great for anyone who aspires to work in fundraising/fundraising events. The intern will report directly to the Development & Fundraising Events Manager.
BrewNost Fundraising Intern Duties:
Work with Development & Fundraising Events Manager to create silent and live auction packages
Solicit asks to area businesses and coordinate item pick up/delivery
Track donations and keep list up to date
Collect donor information and work with Database Manager to ensure all information recorded for donor record
Attend NCSML & community events to advertise for BrewNost and sell raffle tickets
Other duties as assigned
While the position is unpaid, there is a stipend available to help with living costs during the duration of the internship.
Start date is flexible, but must be able to work Friday, September 14th.
