SOUNDS Academ y, a non-profit music education program whose mission is to teach, mentor, and provide musical experiences and opportunities for underserved youth. We are in the process of planning our Instrument Inventory Cleaning the last two weeks of May. We will be responsible for cleaning and evaluating each instruments and beginning a new process of barcoding each instruments. We will have over 200 instruments to complete. We will be in great need of volunteers to assist in making this process room smoothly. Please consider to volunteer with us on the dates listed below. Click on the link to sign up. Description
Today SOUNDS Academy gives instruments and weekly instruction to 300 students through its Community and Strings Programs. They have served over 19,000 students through the Musical Access Program. They do this through outreach programs that focus on teaching the values of creativity, leadership, perseverance, resilience, and teamwork through music education.
Our vision is to provide music education opportunities to a wide variety of children while removing any barriers that children may have in receiving quality music education. We serve underserved communities, primarily in West and South Phoenix, Arizona that do not have music education due to affordability and accessibility.
