Purpose:
Seeking an intern to help market and promote the National Czech & Slovak
Museum & Library’s annual fundraiser, BrewNost. BrewNost is an international
beer, wine, and food tasting event held at the museum. This year BrewNost will
host its 15th anniversary on Friday, Sept. 14, 2018 from 5:30 to 10:00 p.m. The
goals of the fundraiser is to raise money for the museum’s operating fund and to
provide a high-quality, unique international beer festival for the community. The
internship dates are flexible, but the intern must be present the day of the event
with increased availability the weeks leading up. This internship is great for anyone
who aspires to work in marketing or fundraising. The intern will report directly to
the Development & Fundraising Events Manager.
BrewNost Marketing Intern Duties:
Work with Development & Fundraising Events Manager to create
content for BrewNost Facebook page
Work with community vendors and sponsors to create spotlights
Seek out and coordinate community events/opportunities for BrewNost
promotional tables
Attend NCSML & community events to advertise for BrewNost and sell
raffle tickets
Distribute posters, signs, and other printed material in the community
Other duties as assigned
While the position is unpaid, there is a stipend available to help with living costs during the duration of the internship.
Start date is flexible, but must be able to work Friday, September 14th.
