Community Based Mentoring
Big Brothers Big Sisters - Pike Peak
El Paso County, Colorado
Community Based Mentoring: Volunteers are matched with a child (ages 9 to 12) and engage in whatever activities they find mutually enjoyable and beneficial, based upon their common interests. Volunteers commit to a minimum of one year, spending time with the same child two to four times each month. Big Brothers Big Sisters staff members support the match relationship, offering assistance, counsel, and suggestions.
Volunteers must be 21 years of age, have a valid drivers license and auto insurance, a safe driving record, and be able to pass an extensive background check.
This is our traditional mentoring program for which Big Brothers Big Sisters is best and most known for.
Right now, Big Brothers Big Sisters - Pikes Peak has several young boys enrolled as Little Brothers waiting to be matched with a Big Brother. We are in need of male volunteers. Please consider volunteering today!

Being a Big Brother or Big Sister means being a special friend and role model to a child through a one-to-one caring and consistent relationship. Programs are flexible to accommodate a variety of schedules.
