Help us distribute food to youth! We are in need of a volunteers to drive the Mobile Tastiness Machine, our version of a food truck, into two low-income neighborhoods to distribute food to youth on Mondays and Wednesdays.
The Mobile Tastiness Machine (MTM) serves hot, healthy meals prepared by our culinary staff to youth in 4 low-resource neighborhoods. Meals are often paired with nutrition education and physical activities to engage the children in a learning experience.
Volunteers should wear closed toe shoes and bring water to stay hydrated. We do screen every volunteer through the national sex offenders registry, since this volunteer opportunity works with youth/minors. Let us know if you have any questions.

We engage communities facing hunger to understand their unique needs and barriers. Then by building relationships and engaging our neighbors, we create programs and initiatives that meet specific needs, breaking the cycles of poverty, restoring dignity and improving the health of our community. We have served the seven counties of central NC for over 32 years and are a member of the Feeding America network of 200 food banks across the nation.
