As Senior Director of Fundraising for AsylumConnect, you will lead the fundraising arm of an ambitious, early-stage tech nonprofit. In this role, you will gain transferable professional experience through overseeing key fundraising initiatives, including: brainstorming and implementing strategies to grow AsylumConnect’s individual donor base and increase donor loyalty and retention, drafting letters of inquiry and major grant applications, researching and pitching corporate sponsors, and assisting in preparing comprehensive financial reports. Report (and work closely with) the President.
Directly oversee the fundraising department, including: the Director of Fundraising and Fundraising Manager associate(s).
Lead the effort to identify all possible sources of funding for AsylumConnect.
Project manage and supervise all fundraising efforts, including: identifying and pitching corporate sponsors, launching innovative crowdfunding and social media campaigns, applying for private and governmental grants, soliciting individual one-time/monthly donations and boosting individual donor retention.
Collaborate closely with the Director of Finance to record an ongoing budget of how we use our funds, and create detailed projections for additional funding needed in order to meet future organizational goals.
Collaborate closely with the Director of Finance to prepare comprehensive financial reports for use by the President, advisors, existing donors, as well as potential donors and funders.
Serve as one of the primary contacts for any outsourced fundraising assistance (e.g. consultants), funders, sponsors, and donors.
Interest/background in one or more of the following area(s): Nonprofit fundraising, grant writing, nonprofit management, corporate sponsorship, strategy, and/or operations.
Willingness and ability to prioritize AsylumConnect.
Demonstrated fundraising prowess: you are comfortable soliciting donations from potential individual donors and funders, reaching out to grant managers and foundations for more information on potential grant opportunities, drafting letters of inquiry to grantmakers, etc.
You should have a solid command of Excel and/or other spreadsheet tools.
Strong leadership potential and problem-solving skills.
You are reliable, responsible, organized, proactive, and ambitious.

Bonus(es): Experience securing major private and/or governmental grants; experience with foundation relations (especially in the LGBTQ, immigration and/or tech nonprofit space); experience leading fundraising campaigns and/or soliciting donations from individuals; experience securing corporate sponsorship.
