Are you looking to gain some volunteer experience? Volunteer with a grassroots community organization in South Los Angeles!

Help us inform voters about our CA ballot initiative that would bring $2.9 billion for LA county schools and local services.

Volunteers will participate in:

  • Signature Gathering Training
  • Canvass South LA neighborhoods
  • Conduct on-site outreach

Volunteer times:
March 17-April 24, 2018
Mon-Wed 5pm-8pm
Sat 9am-1pm
Sun 3pm-7pm

Requirements:
  • 16 years old or older
  • Positive Attitude & A Team Player
  • Willingness to Learn
  • Interested in Social Justice

Strategic Concepts in Organizing and Policy Education (SCOPE) builds grassroots power to create social and economic justice for low-income, female, immigrant, black, and brown communities in Los Angeles.

Description

SCOPE organizes communities, develops leaders, collaborates through strategic alliances, builds capacity through training programs, and educates South L.A.’s residents to have an active role in shaping policies that affect the quality of life in our region.
