Greetings! The Railyard Park Conservancy is hosting an Earth Day Celebration in the park (on Saturday, April 21st) and we could use your help! Consider Celebrating Mother Earth in the Railyard Park!
Load-In Helpers - Greet "vendors" as they arrive, help direct them where they need to go. Help them with any set-up needs. Shifts available: 8:30-10am
Load-Out Helpers - Help folks load-out. Shifts available: 2-3:30pm
Before Clean-Up & Set-Up Crew - Sweep the park for trash before the event and help vendors and presenters get set-up. Shifts available: 9-10am
After Clean-Up & Break-Down Crew - Sweep the park for trash after the event and help vendors and presenters break-down. Shifts available: 2:30-3:30pm
Match & Toss - Help El Dorado 285 Recycles host a Match & Toss Recycle game. Shifts available: 10am-12pm & 12pm-2pm.

OUR MISSION: To provide community stewardship and advocacy for the care, programming, and public art in the Railyard Park + Plaza. OUR VISION: To build a vibrant, beautiful, popular and safe community gathering place representing the history, values, and aspirations of the people of Santa Fe. OUR RESPONSIBILITY: To ensure that the Railyard Park and Plaza are maintained in perpetuity "as a park, open space, community gathering place, Rail Line corridor, trail corridor and plaza area," as designated in the Railyard Master Plan.
Description
The Railyard Park Conservancy is a nonprofit organization working in partnership with the City of Santa Fe in a unique care, conservation, and education effort to encourage residents to actively participate in our newest and largest city park and adjacent community plaza. The Conservancy was originally a program under the nonprofit Trust for Public Land. The Railyard Park Conservancy serves as the community 'friends of’ group of the Railyard Park + Plaza in Santa Fe.
The Railyard Stewards is modeled after such successful stewardship groups as New York’s Central Park Conservancy. The Stewards support the City of Santa Fe’s regular park maintenance by providing specialized care of the park’s ornamental gardens; coordinating extensive community outreach programs; and maintaining ongoing oversight of the park’s horticultural programs and design.
