Making Strides Sponsorship/Corporate Development Position Summary
The Sponsorship and Corporate Development Chair’s primary responsibility is to
secure financial, in-kind, and mission support from new and returning Making
Strides event sponsors and to ensure that all sponsors are appropriately
recognized and thanked for their support. Work with ACS staff partner and ACS
corporate relations team to approach businesses, medical, health, and fitness
oriented businesses or other community-oriented businesses and organizations
for sponsorships. This person will need to lead the entire planning committee in
exercises that produce relationship introductions for the purpose of soliciting for
sponsorship.

This is the first official year for the American Cancer Societies Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. Every three-five mile Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk is a powerful and inspiring opportunity to unite as a community to honor breast cancer survivors, and raise awareness about steps we can take to reduce the risk of getting breast cancer.
Description
Making Strides is a fundraising walk rasing funds for The American Cancer Society for breast cancer research and FREE programs for cancer patients.
This is event is open to runners, walkers, families, survivors, caregivers, patients, businesses, teachers, students. We invite our entire community to join together to raise money and walk to show we are in this together! Register and join us in Making Strides Against Breast Cancer! Nobody walks alone!
