This is an opportunity to serve on the Night Lights leadership team. Night Lights provides respite care to kids with special needs and their siblings, giving the kids a night of fun and the parents a much needed night off. As a member of the leadership team, the Bright Lights Coordinator is involved in planning and supporting Night Lights events.
The Bright Lights Coordinator is responsible for leading our youth volunteers, the Bright Lights. Bright Lights volunteers are youth ages 11 to 17 that assist adult volunteers with caring for children, plan and run activities and just lend a hand when they can. The Bright Lights Coordinator is responsible for sending out invitations for each Night Lights event, coordinating which Bright Light volunteers will be doing what activities and overseeing them on the night of the event.
This is a position that requires personal initiative and a passion for serving families who have children with special needs. Organizational and interpersonal skills are a must as well as a passion for leading and serving with youth. It is also a very rewarding position as you will get to see first hand the impact you have on people's lives.
