ORGANIZATION: Forests Forever

Live Oak

Help us build public support to protect our precious water and forests!

Forests Forever is an environmental nonprofit based in Berkeley whose mission is to protect and enhance the forests and wildlife habitat of California through educational, legislative, and electoral activities. We are partnering with the Napa County Watershed and Oak Woodland Protection Initiative and are currently seeking enthusiastic environmentalists to join our door canvassing efforts.

As a volunteer, you will be engaging with Napa County voters through face-to-face conversations, informing them about the upcoming election and local measure that would provide essential environmental protections for Napa's fast-disappearing oak woodlands and their watersheds.

New to knocking on doors? No worries, our fantastic outreach coordinator, Christian, will train you in everything you need to know. Reliable transportation is a plus but not required - some of us will be carpooling from the East bay and can pick you up there or in Napa!

Tell us below when you're available to volunteer - one-time and short-term volunteers are welcome too!

For any questions, call or email our Volunteer Staff Coordinator, Eishin at 415.974.3636 x208 or eishin@forestsforever.org

Mission Statement

Forests Forever was founded in 1989 during the historic campaign to save the Headwaters ancient redwood forest in Humboldt County, California. Our efforts helped galvanize the broad-based public awareness and outcry that led to that and other forest victories across the state. For more than 25 years we have been rallying Californians in defense of the state’s 17 million acres of woodland ecosystems and watersheds. We engage in year-round education, grassroots organizing and executive-branch and legislative advocacy.
