About

Forever change the trajectory of a student's life! Being a PEAK mentor is highly rewarding commitment. Mentoring has had a tremendous impact and has shown to improve student attendance, attitudes toward school, and self-esteem.

Mentors commit to work with a scholar one-on-one over the course of four years. Unlike a tutoring program that meets at the same time each week or month, you determine when and how you and your mentee spend time together. PEAK recommends mentors meet with their mentee each month in person. Regular communication via phone calls, text messages, or email keeps the relationship going in between those visits. PEAK hosts mentor/mentee events to foster the mentoring relationship and develop our scholars' social awareness and interpersonal skills.
