Event day for 2017

Greetings from Parents Place!

Our 4th Annual Parents Place Family Fun Day is coming up on Sunday, April 29 rd from 11am-2:30pm. Hundreds of families with young children birth through five come and we convert our parking lot into a fun zone complete with toddler bounce house, tasty treats, live music, face painting, and 20 community partner booths. It’s a wild and fun event and you are all invited! And we are still looking for 7-10 volunteers!

Duties include: face painting, helping kiddos (under 5) at the vendors booths, blowing up and giving out balloons, helping with the registration booth, giving out flyers, setting-up tables and chairs, passing out stickers, delivering water to exhibitors tables, etc.

Shifts: 8:30-12 and 11:30-3:30pm. (Or all day if you need Community Service Hours)

Volunteers Needed: 7-10 per shift. Snacks and Drinks provided.

About Parents Place: Parents Place is the Bay Area's leading family resource center. We support families and caregivers of babies, children, and teens. Parents Place experts offer parent and teacher workshops, coaching and consultation, services for expectant and new parents, and baby and me classes. Jewish Family and Children's Services exists to provide professional and volunteer services for the purposes of developing, restoring, and maintaining the competency of families and individuals of all ages. Traditionally, Jewish Family and Children's agencies carry a special responsibility within the Jewish community for reaching out to children, the aged, the alienated, and the dependent, and for the resettlement and acculturation of refugees and immigrants. As part of the network of Jewish community services, the Agency helps promote Jewish continuity through the provision of preventive, educational, therapeutic, and supportive services, within the context of historic Jewish values, emphasizing inter-generational ties and community responsibility.
