Ever wonder what it was like to live on a farm? It's not an easy job but it can be well worth it. The event will include farm tours, cattle corral, a petting zoo, face painting, live music, photo booth, a farmers market, food trucks, crafts, and much more!

There are many volunteer positions to choose from including set up, tear down, activity stations and more. Each are extremely important to the success of the festival! Please read the descriptions so that you can find a position you will enjoy.

Morning shift 7:00am-11:00am OR/AND Midday shift 10:00am -2:00pm OR/AND Afternoon shift 1:00pm - 5:00pm

NOTE: These are the only available time slots no exceptions

You may volunteer all day in the same position or different job positions

Parking Lot Monitor- Direct visitors and assist rangers with monitoring parking lot traffic

Water station& Farm Tours - Keep water flowing, make sure cups are available for visitors. Assist farmers by keeping tour group together, asking visitors to not pick produce or walk on the beds

Kids Craft - Help kids build and create crafts

Cattle Corral- Monitor and manage
Haybale Pulley, Milking Cows, Roping/Branding Steers - Monitor activity, demonstrate pulleys as needed,talk to visitors about pulley systems (will be provided information). Monitor and manage demonstration milking cows.

Photo Cutout Attendant- Take photos of visitors. Monitor line/crowd control

Carnival Zone- Assist with a variety of carnival games

Face Painting Attendant - Line/crowd control. Must be willing to get your face painted.

Truck & Tractor Area- Keep visitors off equipment. Assist with taking photos

Trail Watch- Monitor between visitor center and farm stand. Security for life estate.

Master Gardener Assistant- work with kids at the table

Description

Since 1924, when Stevens Creek County Park was established, people have given their time and talents to help make Santa Clara County Parks special places to visit. In 2010, nearly 2000 volunteers donated over 40,000 hours of service to a variety of projects and programs.

Become a County Parks Volunteer and see how you can play an important role in protecting and enhancing our parklands. What's more, our volunteer events are fun -- come join us to "Go Outside and Play!"
