Purpose/Objective: Legacy Corps is an AmeriCorps program that provides assistance to service members, active and veteran, their families and caregivers. Our heroes and their loved ones are served in the fields of respite, transportation, education and resource referral. Services are designed to decrease caregiving burden and stress. Legacy Corps Volunteers empower the caregiver and care recipient through education and community resources to maintain and/or improve their quality of life, with an emphasis on remaining in the home.
Responsibilities: Provide responsible non-medical care for clients, engage clients in conversation and social activities, provide compassionate companionship and participate in fun events for public awareness and fundraising.
Qualifications: Must be 18 years or older, a U.S. citizen, high school graduate or equivalent, and flexible in availability. Must have a phone, dependable transportation, clean State Criminal Background Check and NSOPR.
