Provide elementary school students with a positive one-to-one relationship with a caring adult for support. This is a school-based mentoring program where the volunteer joins the student for lunch once weekly for conversation, relationship building, and positive role modeling.

Meet your buddy in the classroom and accompany the child to lunch. Sit with your student and interact with him/her and other students at the table. Eat a school lunch or one you bring from home with your student. Enjoy quiet conversation or games in the school media center before or after lunch. Show an interest in your student's progress in school, hobbies, friends, and relationships with teachers. Model a positive and optimistic attitude for learning and the school environment.
