The First Tee of Canton Summer Classes Volunteering

The First Tee of Canton is looking for volunteers interested in helping in our 2018 Summer Session I and II Classes. Anyone who enjoys golf and is of high school age and older is able to volunteer with us! The biggest time of the year for The First Tee of Canton is during our Summer Sessions, but we will absolutely have opportunities outside of the summer months as well.

Volunteers for the classes will help monitor and assist youth in our golf classes. All classes have a Lead Coach in charge that will oversee volunteers and assign them to groups of kids, stations, etc. There is no skill level required for volunteers to help coach in our classes! The most important part of our classes is teaching kids about The First Tee Nine Core Values and Nine Healthy Habits! We are teaching life skills through the game of golf. Our beginner classes (which we have the most offerings) introduce kids to the game, etiquette, rules, and basic skills. As the level of class increases, youth are taught more about the skill of the game and really improving their game. But once again anyone that enjoys golf and working with kids would be a great volunteer!
