Purpose: To provide socialization and emotional support to elderly individuals who are socially isolated, and/or have other special needs.
Establish a consistent and supportive relationship with client by visiting client in his/her home, taking client out for social, recreational, or personal needs (shopping, appointments, etc.), and providing friendly companionship. Report to volunteer coordinator to update progress of relationship. Visits take place in the client's home. Locations vary and include Minneapolis and suburbs.

Description
Jewish Family and Children's Service is a multi-faceted social service agency serving adults, children, families, frail elderly, refugees, the disabled, the disadvantaged and the chronically mentally ill. Services are available to people regardless of race, religion, income or background. Our services extend to both the Jewish and general community.
