Flytrap Frolic 2018

Flytrap Frolic is a free community education event, on April 21, 2018, featuring native carnivorous plants that thrive in southeastern North Carolina. This event is held at the Stanley Rehder Carnivorous Plant Garden, in Wilmington, NC. The event is one of the NC Coastal Land Trust's premiere annual events, and it relies on the presence and energy of volunteers to run smoothly. Once you sign up to volunteer, you will receive a confirmation email, then further correspondence on Friday, 4/13 and Wednesday, 4/18 to address logistical details prior to the event.

Volunteer Positions include:

  • Setup Crew
  • flytrap-themed crafts
  • feely-box exploration activity
  • carnivorous plant identification
  • face-painting
  • Greeters/ Counters/ Flytrap Sales
  • Break Down Crew

We would like as many volunteers as possible to work the full time period from 8-2, as this would ease in transitioning between shifts and also allow for the recruitment of less people. If you are willing to work the entire time period, simply sign up for one 1st shift position (8- 11) and one 2nd shift position (11 - 2).
