Interlock Media, Inc. is seeking an off-duty professional to conduct top-quality research on public health in the film industry. Individuals should have a strong background in public health, occupational health, psychology, or another related medical or wellness field. The project will focus on the unique medical and mental/emotional health issues pertaining to the film/television industry, and intriguing new technology that may assist in a delivery of healthcare to those trapped on a film set or stuck on post-production deadlines 16 hours a day. Candidates must possess strong research and writing skills, as well as experience in healthcare, public health research, medicine, and interest in the filmmaking world.
About the project: This project will consist of a film and audio series focusing on health and wellness in the film industry -- specifically on the unique medical and mental health issues pertaining to the film/television/media workers, and intriguing new technology to assist in a delivery of quality healthcare to those on film sets.
Schedule : Minimum of 25 hr/wk, full time (40 hr/wk) preferred
Compensation : Unpaid/Apprentice/Volunteer
Location : Convenient to public transportation and Kendall Square
Job Type : Volunteer; non-profit. 3-month commitment
Experience: Must be able to succeed in a small film crew-like environment, where initiative is valued and independent thinking is a must. Individuals must be able to collaborate on all project goals and meet numerous deadlines. Candidates must have strong leadership skills, must be passionate about the physical and emotional health of those in the media industry, and must have a strong desire to spread awareness and help prevent endemic illnesses, as well as injuries.

Description
Interns participate in all aspects of film and media production, including: research writing coordination of crews participation in shoots participation in film editing scriptwriting production of print materials any task that may arise

Interns must have strong communication skills, a desire to learn, and a pro-active attitude. The following skills and experience are preferred, but not required: superior writings skills technical ability computer skills (mac platform) experience with camera, lighting, or other gear.
