- WHO: Everyone!! This event is perfect for individuals, couples, families, small groups and large groups!
Spring Island Clean-up is a legacy event that has been occurring since the 1970’s. Its early days hosted a handful of dedicated community members who were passionate about the park. In 2017, we welcomed over 900 volunteers to help prepare the island for season.
Come see the inside of the Athletic Complex at this year's Spring Clean-up. We are excited to have access to a facility on the island that is not typically open to the public. Please note that this is a change in location from previous years. Don't fret- detailed directions will be provided via our website and facebook event page:

- 8:00am: On-site registration and check-in (Athletic Complex)
- 9:00am-12:00pm: Clean-up (Island-Wide)
- 12pm-1pm: Hotdog lunch and community celebration (Athletic Complex)
​Recreation passport requirement will be waived for Spring Clean-up volunteers.
Individuals, families and small groups register on-site the morning of the event.
Dress for the predicted weather conditions; boots suggested.
We ask that you bring your own rake and work gloves; there will be some onsite for use while supplies last. If you have other cleanup supplies (such as a leaf blower) please feel free to bring them as well.
Leaf bags provided by the MDNR.
All things kayak related provided by Riverside Kayak Connection (RKC).
This event is perfect for individuals, couples, families, small groups and large groups!
