Volunteer for A Safe Haven Foundation's 8th Annual 5K RUN! To End Homelessness on Saturday, July 14 at Montrose Harbor! Volunteer duties include volunteer registration, runner registration, gear check, handing out refreshments, handing out medals, cheering runners, set up and break down of event, and any other duties that may arise.
Proceeds from the event will go to support our mission of transforming lives from homelessness to self-sufficiency with pride and purpose. Music and a FREE Kids Fun RUN! (Registration required) will also be included.

A Safe Haven Foundation is a 501(c)3 not for profit, social enterprise that helps people aspire, transform and sustain their lives as they transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency with pride and purpose. A Safe Haven provides the tools for each individual to overcome the root causes of homelessness through a holistic and scalable model. Description
At A Safe Haven, we help homeless people who are in sudden or chronic social and financial crisis address the root causes of their problems, and we help them achieve sustainable self-sufficiency. For over 20 years we have provided individualized services. Since 1994, the collective impact of the public/private partnership efforts has resulted in A Safe Haven helps over 5,000 people each year to break the cycle of poverty and achieve financial independence with their pride, purpose and dreams restored.
Our unique comprehensive and integrated model and specialized programs help thousands of people every year from the following populations in need:
- Military Veterans
- Women with Children
- Families
- Youth (Ages 18-24)
Non-violent Criminal Justice Impacted Population including the following:
- Court Mandated Diversion
- Pre-Trial and Ex-Offenders
- Single Adults
