Our English Program Coordinator Position is perfect for volunteers and interns that have experience in teaching English and who are ready to take on the responsibility of not just teaching English, but actually coordinating and managing our English Language Program in the beautiful little town of Itacare, Bahia, Brazil. This is an incredible experience for personal and professional development while it will be a fantastic addition to any resume in an increasingly competitive job market. In this position, volunteers and interns will receive ongoing supervision and support from an ETIV staff member, although the Coordinator will be responsible for developing the curriculum, creating new lessons plans and fun and interactive activities while also managing the project and supervising and supporting any other English volunteers that may also be present. Interns may also receive University credit for their work, where applicable.

The English Coordinator position is a challenging position, although it can also be very rewarding. Only volunteers and interns with a great deal of patience, leadership, flexibility and organization skills should apply for this position. The coordinator is responsible for continuously improving upon the structure, goals and outcomes of the program, which means that this position also offers a great deal of freedom to incorporate new, fun and innovative ways of teaching. Fluency in English and Portuguese is necessary for this position, with 3 months minimum and 4 to 6 months time commitment preferred.

Visit our website at www.etivdobrasil.org, check out all of our internship and volunteer opportunities and then click the big green "Apply Now" button when you are ready to apply.

Interns that are willing and able to dedicate at least 6 months to the project may apply for a grant with the NGO to have their volunteer contribution waved. This allows low income students to receive all the benefits of volunteering with our NGO (including life insurance, a tour of Itacare, an induction to the NGO, training in your project, ongoing supervision and support and 24 hour emergency support) completely free of charge. However, all interns are responsible for covering their own food, travel, accommodations, personal expenses and our $67 administration fee that covers all of your legal documents. However, we do provide a volunteer house where volunteers and interns can choose to live at a very affordable price.

ETIV do Brasil is located in the beautiful fishing and surfing town of Itacaré, Bahia. Our mission is to connect international travelers with meaningful volunteer opportunities to support environmental conservation and development in Brazil. We can also link volunteers to many of the stunning eco-adventure tours in and around Itacaré and we can offer cultural education classes including Portuguese, Samba and/or Capoeira classes, as available. Please go to our website at www.etivdobrasil.org to find out more about our NGO and all of our internship and volunteer opportunities.
