Volunteers are essential to the success of our organization. We appreciate your time and effort.

With an emphasis on Celebrating Brilliance, the 2018 WBEA EXPO will be held at the George R. Brown Convention Center on June 7th, 2018 and features a show floor strategically designed to facilitate connectivity and innovation.

The Networking Reception will be held at The Sambuca Restaurant on June 6th at 5 pm - 8pm.

There are a variety of volunteer opportunities available. Volunteers that fulfill a selected time slot on Wednesday, June 6th will receive a "Reception Only" pass to attend the Welcome Reception after completing their shift. Volunteers that fulfill a selected time slot on Thursday June 7th will receive an "Expo and Luncheon Only" pass to attend the Expo after completing their shift and the Luncheon. The passes are a gift in return for your time and effort on behalf of the WBEA.

Volunteer Training is required and mandatory for participating. We are offering two training dates opportunities. Once you have signed up as a volunteer, you will receive an email regarding the training dates and times.

As an affiliate of the Women's Business Enterprise National Council ( WBENC), the WBEA serves as a third-party certifying organization for women-owned business enterprises (WBEs) in south Texas. Businesses that are at least 51% owned by a woman and meet specific criteria as outlined by WBENC standards and procedures are eligible for this certification -- a designation that is not only recognized but required by most major corporations and governmental agencies as a purchasing criterion.

With over 750 certified WBEs, representing 9 billion in revenue and over 40,000 jobs created the WBEA organization has grown rapidly since its inception and has become one of the nation's leading certifiers of women-owned businesses by way of its network of corporate sponsors, supplier diversity programs and dedicated WBE’s.
