Community Based Mentoring
Big Brothers Big Sisters - Pikes Peak
El Paso County, Colorado
Volunteers are matched with a child (ages 9 to 12) and together they create and choose any activities that are mutually enjoyable.
Volunteers commit to a minimum of one year, spending time with the same child two to four times each month. Big Brothers Big Sisters staff members support the mentors and the match relationship, offering suggestions, counsel and assistance.
Volunteers must be 21 years old, have a valid driver's license and auto insurance, and be able to pass an extensive background check.
This is our traditional mentoring program for which Big Brothers Big Sisters is best and most known for.
Right now, Big Brothers Big Sisters - Pikes Peak is in need of male volunteers to be mentors (Big Brothers) to youth in our community. Currently, we have several Little Brothers enrolled and waiting to be matched. Please consider volunteering!

Being a Big Brother or Big Sister means being a special friend and role model to a child through a one-to-one caring and consistent relationship. Programs are flexible to accommodate a variety of schedules.
