Here's your chance to be a 'BFF' (Best Friend Forever) to birds, bees and trees!
This is the Year of the Bird, so our Forest Festival will feature exhibits, walks and activities that highlight the value of trees to birds, and birds to us!
Volunteers are integral to the running of this event and we seek those who simply can't get enough of trees and birds and everything in between!
Volunteers will assist visitors with games, walks, activities and information. The shift runs from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm. Dress appropriately for a family event. A light lunch will be provided!

Description
Our agency is located just north of Washington D.C., and was originally created to protect the stream valleys around the D.C. area. We have grown into a 34,000 acre park system with over 400 local, urban and regional parks; recreation centers; ballfields; playgrounds; nature centers, a botanic garden and over 200 miles of trails.
