The SoulDeevas are looking for experienced coaches to join our coaching team and help us develop our new competitive hip-hop Majorette team in New Jersey.
Hip-hop majorette dancing is high-energy, synchronized, rhythmic dance moves that draw from ballet, jazz, modern dance, hip-hop and gymnastics.
If candidates have no majorette experiences, we will absolutely consider someone with traditional dance experience in any genre who can eventually learn the majorette technique - as that will give our girls an edge in competition.
Our NJ Team will rehearse in the downtown Rahway area of New Jersey. Our first auditions will happen in April or May, with practices formally starting in May.
Our girls are beginners and range in age from 5 to 16. We will be preparing them for competitions, field shows, parades, performances and sporting events.

Friends of MJHS ("Friends") is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation organized for the purpose of generating contributions, pledges and funds for the development and ongoing support of Citadel Academy Prep School (CAPS), a school that will provide students in grades 6-8 with a high quality Christian education through a well balanced, yet challenging curriculum that ministers to the spirit, soul and body.
Friends will also provide funds, management and ongoing support of The SoulDeevas Performing Arts Company, a character building sports and arts program that will serve all youth regardless of their religious affiliation. The SoulDeevas will include programs that provide activities, resources and support during critical out-of-school time hours in a safe, nurturing environment that works from a strengths-based, youth development perspective.
