Be a creative leader for an upstart arts group in North Wilmington!
We need creative volunteers willing to roll up their sleeves and help our nonprofit group develop compelling classes, workshops, and events. We are looking for people willing develop a comprehensive knowledge of local artistic talent and to reach out to artists with interesting skills to share. Experience as a working artist not necessary, but you must exercise artistic judgement to help us build a programming schedule that is innovative, compelling, and likely to find an audience in our community. We have had good success with volunteers who are inspired by our mission and are willing to take ownership of their role.
Estimated 8 hours per month or more, depending on your availability and creative desire.
Jester Artspace is a 501c3 nonprofit group that is renovating the pre-Civil War Jester Farmhouse in North Wilmington to use as gallery and work space for local artists. As a volunteer-driven group, we make it a priority to be a fun bunch to hang out with, and to help our volunteers develop new skills and experiences along the way. Learn more at jesterartspace.org
We are also in need of committee members who can assist with fundraising and finance.
If interested, email jesterartspace@gmail.com

Mission Statement
We are friends working to provide an artistic venue, support and camaraderie for creative people, as we preserve the rural heritage of our home at Jester Farm.
Description
Jester Artspace is a 501(c)(3) non-profit working to restore the historic Jester Farmhouse, in Jester Park on Grubb Road in Wilmington DE, for local artists of all disciplines and skill levels to use as meeting, working and gallery space. The county-owned property is one of the few remaining modest pre-Civil War farmsteads that were once common in Northern Delaware. We are working closely with the county and our restoration plans are nearly complete. In the coming year, we will be undergoing intense strategic planning to transition from restoration, to opening our doors. Learn more about us at jesterartspace.org.
