VIDA (Volunteers in Defense of Animals)

We always have some cats in our cattery searching for their forever homes. With more help, we can spend more time adopting cats out and rescuing more kitties. Help us clean the cat area, clean out the litter box, feed them, change their water, groom, play with, and socialize the cats. This is the perfect job for cat lovers!

Requirements:
- >13 years of age (if younger, you may come with a parent or guardian)
- able to come in at least 1x a week (exceptions are OK)
- not allergic to cats

To start:
Text 6263741551 with your name, age, and days/hours you can come in - also note that you want to work with the cats!

Mission Statement

Our mission is to protect and help dogs and cats from homelessness neglect, abuse, cruelty and abandonment. VIDA does not belong to any one person but instead to all of its volunteers. We adopt out about 50-60 cats and dogs per month - we rescue dogs from high-kill shelters, low income neighborhoods, and from the streets of Mexico. We also have spay and neuter operations and have saved thousands of animals already. www.vida4animals.org www.instagram.com/vidarescue www.facebook.com/vidarescue

Description

Volunteers in Defense of Animals is a non-profit organization working to end the suffering and mistreatment of dogs and cats in Southern California. We bring spay and neuter services to areas where families cannot afford them; we facilitate the rescue, foster care, and adoption of animals whenever possible, and we offer education and support to those involved in the care of animals.

We have found forever homes for hundreds of dogs and cats, with around 4-5 new adoptions taking place each week. Many of our dogs come from local high-kill shelters before they are euthanized and on the streets of both the US and Mexico. We also have spay/neuter operations in low-income neighborhoods in the US and in Mexico and have spayed/neutered thousands of pets.
