The Justice & Diversity Center of the San Francisco Bar Association (JDC) is looking for an intern to support our Housing Negotiation Project (HNP).
Every Wednesday and Thursday at the Housing Negotiation Project, JDC works with volunteer attorneys to provide legal representation at settlement conferences for San Francisco residents facing eviction proceedings. The HNP intern would assist JDC’s supervising attorney prepare the necessary documents, as well as file and serve paperwork at San Francisco Superior Court.
This is a great learning opportunity for those studying to become paralegals or those interested in attending law school. The HNP intern will be in court twice a week, seeing how courtrooms operate, observing experienced attorneys as they interact with clients and opposing counsel, and learning how to prepare court filings and other legal documents.
Please note: the HNP intern must be available Wednesday and Thursday from 10:00am to 5:00pm.
To Apply: Please send a cover letter and resume to PROBONO@SFBAR.ORG and we will get back to you to set up an interview.
