Create magic for children and their families by volunteering for Camp Heart + Hands! This weekend long experience allows our kids to be kids and gives our families everlasting memories.
There a variety of different shifts that volunteers can sign up for! See below for a full list of everything you can do. If you are interested in signing up for a shift, please complete this form with all of the shifts you are interested in. A volunteer coordinator will be in touch with you to confirm your participation!
Thursday: May 16th
- Help Set-up for Camp (1:00 pm - 4:00 pm)
- Help Set-Up for Camp (10:00 am - 3:00 pm)
- Greet Families and Help Deliver Luggage (2:30 pm - 6:30 pm) BILINGUAL PREFERRED
- Help Park Cars for Families and Direct Traffic (2:30 pm - 6:30 pm)
- Help Set-Up Carnival (8:00 am - 9:30 am)
- Run a Booth at our Carnival (9:00 am - 1:00 pm) BILINGUAL PREFERRED
- Help Scoop Ice Cream (1:15 pm - 4:00 pm) BILINGUAL PREFERRED
- Help Decorate for our Dance Party (1:00 pm - 5:00 pm)
- Help Run our Photo Booth at our Dance (7:30 - 9:00 pm) BILINGUAL PREFERRED
- Do Face Painting at our Dance (7:30 - 9:30 pm) BILINGUAL PREFERRED
- Help Clean Up and Say Goodbye to Families (10:00 am - 1:00 pm)

Description
Jacob's Heart Children's Cancer Support Services has been supporting children with cancer and their families since 1998. We believe that no family should experience childhood cancer alone. We support the entire family. To some families, this may mean a teddy bear and quilt to the child in the hospital, financial assistance to the parents to get to and from the hospital, art therapy for children with cancer to assist during the healing process, and counseling and support groups to children, teens, siblings and parents.
We celebrate and mourn the lives of Jacob's Heart children. We send cards and gifts on special occasions such as birthdays, graduations and, yes, weddings. Once a Jacob's Heart kids, always a Jacob's Heart kid. We support the family when a child loses life to cancer. We are there for the family when the child is first diagnosed, during his/her treatment, during follow-up when they return home, and for bereaved families.
Please join us and support our brave children and loving families during the most challenging times of their lives. And, celebrate the lives of these precious ones!
