Volunteers are essential to the care provided by Willow tree Hospice. Our hospice volunteers are men and women of all ages and backgrounds who have a few hours a week or a month to give to others. Whether it is reading to a patient, doing an activity, sharing a talent, or just providing an opportunity to share experiences.....
volunteers make a difference in our patients' lives.
Volunteers work with the Willow Tree Hospice inter disciplinary team to help provide patient and
family support. Volunteers provide companionship visits to offer a hand to hold, a listening ear or simply a caring compassionate heart. Willow Tree Hospice is dedicated to offering a full compliment of services to our patients and their families and volunteers are integral to that. Whether it's a special talent or modality that a volunteer has to share or the willingness to be present with a patient and learn the story of their life.
All volunteers receive one on one training before assignment to patients. Our volunteer program is very flexible and is designed to work around the volunteer's life and current commitments. We encourage you to contact us and consider joining the over 40 active volunteers across our service area. We are certain that you will agree with our current volunteers: they receive much more than they give.
