General Description

Celebrate Arbor Day at Lebanon Hills Regional Park! Dakota County has completed buckthorn removal in the Holland Lake area, and it's time to plant some native trees and shrubs. The species we plant are selected for their high pollinator value - providing spring blooms for bumblebee queens and twigs for stem-nesting solitary bees.

Duties & Responsibilities

Help plant native trees and shrubs in the designated areas of the park

Minimum Qualifications

All ages are welcome but you must be 16 years old or older to work without an adult

Minimum Time Commitment

3 hours

Activity Level

Active - Involves physical exertion for an extended period of time; can involve rough, uneven or steep terrain. Not recommended for volunteers with physical limitations.

NOTE: One of the planting units is a fairly steep slope - wear sturdy footwear and let us know if you're not comfortable working in this unit.
