This is a very easy, but important volunteer opportunity. We need test monitors to sit in classrooms with the teacher during state testing. Monitors usually volunteer in 2-3 hour time increments and can volunteer for one 2 hour block, or 20. Volunteers can read or study as your are monitoring the tests, so it's great during finals.
State tests are scheduled to begin on April 2nd, but if the education budget demands aren't met and teachers are forced to walk out in order to get more funding for our students then the testing dates could be postponed. It would be helpful for interested volunteers to let our test coordinator know what days/times you would be available and she will notify you all once we have a set schedule.
