Do you want to help get free, high quality books to low-income children and families in Thurston and Mason counties? Want to show your child(ren) the importance of giving back to their community? You can help, by running a book drive for the South Sound Reading Foundation!
If you'd like to run a book drive for our organization, simply get in touch here and we'll provide you with everything you need for a drive, however that looks for you. We can provide you with book donation boxes, handy tips for running a successful drive, flyers, and more!
Don't have the time to run a drive? We welcome donations of new and used children's books year-round. Your books will be distributed to children in Thurston and Mason counties who might not have access to books without your generous donation. Email us here and we'll facilitate your donation right away.

Mission Statement
In an effort to increase the number of children prepared to learn, read, and succeed, the South Sound Reading Foundation exists to ensure that every child is read with or is reading at least 20 minutes a day. Reading just 20 minutes a day promotes healthy brain development, family bonding and school readiness all children need to read and succeed.
Description
We educate and remind children, youth and families about the importance of reading and we strive to get books into every home and into the hands of every child so they have the tools they need to read and succeed. Each year we distribute over 40,000 books!
