Volunteers Needed for Patient Companionship, Thrift Shoppe and Administrative Tasks

Hosparus Health of Central Kentucky

Patient and Family Support volunteers visit in nursing homes, assisted living facilities and private homes, offering companionship and respite. Volunteers do life review, sing or play music, participate in facility activities, read to patients and other activities based on patient abilities and requests.

Licensed volunteers
may provide hair care and massage therapy.

Thrift Shoppe volunteers help receive, sort, and price donations, and place them on the sales floor. One-day volunteer groups are welcome. Scheduling is flexible. Training, background checks and health screenings are required and vary by role. Minimum ages vary by role. We do not accept volunteers for court ordered community service.

Administrative volunteers needed for assistance with data input and tracking.

Our care teams are recognized and respected nationwide for innovation and expertise in advanced illness care for the most complex health issues. Today, Hosparus Health is one of the top 20 nonprofit hospice organizations in the United States, serving nearly 7800 patients and their families in 44 counties in Kentucky and Southern Indiana.
