Patient and Family Support volunteers visit in nursing homes, assisted living facilities and private homes, offering companionship and respite. Volunteers provide a comforting presence, do life review, sing or play music, participate in facility activities, read to patients and other activities based on patient abilities and requests.
Licensed volunteers may provide hair care or massage therapy.
Thrift Shoppe volunteers help receive, sort, and price donations, and place them on the sales floor. One-day volunteer groups are welcome. Scheduling is flexible. Training, background checks and health screenings are required and vary by role. Minimum ages vary by role. We do not accept volunteers for court ordered community service.
ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST PROVIDE PROOF OF FLU VACCINATION ANNUALLY. VOLUNTEERS WHO VISIT WITH PATIENTS MUST ALSO HAVE A TWO-STEP TB TEST AND PROVIDE PROOF OF THE INITIAL COVID SERIES.
