Volunteering at ReStore offers you the opportunity to help Merrimack Valley Habitat for Humanity deliver on its mission of building simple, safe and affordable homes for deserving, working families throughout the Merrimack Valley. ReStore functions as our discount outlet with all profits supporting our local Habitat for Humanity. Open Wednesday through Saturday.
Minimum time commitment of 4 hours.
Front Register / Cashier volunteer
The front register volunteers are the first people a shopper sees at the ReStore. We’re looking for people who like to interact with people throughout the day and feel comfortable running a cash register. Experience running a register is not required, just a desire to learn!
Process all transactions through the cash register
Provide excellent customer service
Keep up with current sales and specials
Great customer service toward donors and ReStore customers
Ability to work closely with staff, donors, volunteers, Habitat homeowners, and customers
Self-sufficient, requiring little supervision
Team oriented with a cooperative attitude with a good sense of humor
Ability to stand for long periods of time
This is a volunteer opportunity.
