Golden Gate Audubon's Eco-Oakland Program is seeking dedicated individuals who wish to obtain valuable experience providing environmental education for underserved students in the East Oakland community. We have openings for two or three interns, depending on time commitments.
Golden Gate Audubon is one of the Bay Area's oldest conservation organizations. Founded in 1917, Golden Gate Audubon is dedicated to protecting Bay Area birds, other wildlife, and their natural habitats. We conserve and restore wildlife habitats, connect people of all ages and backgrounds with the natural world, and educate and engage Bay Area residents in the protection of our shared, local environment. The Eco-Oakland Program offers year-round, hands-on environmental education to elementary school students, their families, and their community in East Oakland. Golden Gate Audubon staff and volunteers work with teachers, students, and their families to explore and conserve local wildlife habitats throughout the Oakland watershed--from the classroom to the San Francisco Bay and Pacific Ocean.
