This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity and Directors are expected to contribute a minimum of 12 hours per week and be responsive to emails within 36 hours.
Directors must be willing to attend weekly/bi-weekly meetings as and when required.

Save the Water(tm) is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization whose mission is to conduct water research to identify and remove harmful contaminants in water, and to raise public awareness about water contamination and its health impacts. STW (tm) also offers educational programs to excite young minds about water science.

The Role :
Save the Water(tm) is seeking a Fundraising Director. If you are passionate about Fundraising and you relate to our organization’s goals, then become part of our organization. The Fundraising Director position is a remote/virtual opportunity. Reach out to us at newvolunteers@savethewater.org .
What you will be responsible for.....
- Develop and execute a sustainable fundraising strategy for STW (tm) , building annual goals.
- Secure financial support from individuals, foundations, and corporations.
- Develop and track proposals and reports for all foundation and corporate fundraising.
- Oversee a department of 5-20 volunteers and interns, holding them accountable for their work, and provide ongoing coaching and assistance.
- Communicate regularly with Vice President and other Directors, as needed, and provide monthly reports to the leadership
- Manage and keep operational documents current and assist in developing new procedures & documents for the organization
- Plan and conduct monthly Fundraising Group meetings, including sending agenda, taking meeting minutes, and follow up

Apply Now if you have....
- Masters degree (or currently enrolled in a degree program) or comparable work experience
- Demonstrable experience in cultivating major fundraising campaigns, Corporate and Private/Personal Philanthropic Donation Campaigns, Grant Writing. Online Fundraising etc.
- Successful track record of meeting/exceeding fundraising goals in a nonprofit organization.
- Experience in creating successful direct mail, marketing materials, online giving appeals including social media, and campaigns including integration of e-commerce platform for the payment gateway.
- Strong knowledge of and experience with fundraising databases, gift processing, gift acknowledgment, and gift reporting best practices.
- Minimum 5+ years of fundraising, sales, marketing, communications, event planning experience
- Familiarity with Salesforce CRM or other Customer Relationship Management or equivalent software
- Excellent planning & time management skills
- Focused attention to detail and follow through
- Ability to handle multiple projects and with an ability to focus on details
- Effective oral communication skills and a clear, courteous and professional manner
- Capacity for self-direction, with tact and diplomacy, and for working cooperatively
- Demonstrated project management skills
