Do you enjoy Sewing, Knitting, Crocheting and Drawing/Crafts?

We are in need of volunteers to make items for our hospice patients.

Walker Bags - These bags are made to be tied on patients walkers and wheel chairs to assist in carrying patients items.

Dignity Bibs/Clothing Protector - These items are made from fabric and our patients love receiving them to help with protecting their cloths while eating. These are washed and reused.

Blankets for warmth and comfort - hospice patients tend to get cold and are in need of blankets - quilts or afghans to help keep them warm during their end of life journey. These blankets are assigned to specific patients on our service.

Life Reflection Boards - do you like to draw? We have an opportunity for you. We are looking for volunteers to make Life Reflection Boards for our patients. They are hand drawn or cut out pictures from magazines to assemble a board that represents a persons life. These charts put smiles on the patients and families faces.

If interested, Volunteers must be able to pass a CORI and background check.
Attend orientation Virtually or in-person to learn about the hospice history and philosophy.
Your creative skills will put a smile on our patients faces and warm their hearts .

Reach out today to find out how you can become part of our Volunteer Team. Send an email to helen.burgoyne@amedisys.com.
