Service Dogs, Inc. in Dripping Springs, TX is seeking temporary fosters for our dogs. Training to be a Service Dog is hard work. Our pups would love to have some time away from the kennels. This will give them some down time to just kick back and have fun being a dog, before they return to their jobs (training). This is a win-win situation for all of us. The dogs get to let loose and have some fun, and you (the foster) provide us with valuable input on how they are in a home. This information is needed to ensure our dogs are well-rounded and up for the task of helping someone with a disability when their training is complete.
It is a perfect situation for the fosters as well. If you do not feel you have the capacity to take care of a dog full-time, but love the idea of having a dog temporarily, borrow one of ours! You can foster overnight during the week, over a whole weekend or holiday, or when a dog needs extra attention, like after a medical procedure.

Formerly Texas Hearing and Service Dogs, Inc. on our 25th anniversary we changed our name to Service Dogs, Inc. Founded in 1988 by Sheri Soltes, Service Dogs, Inc. is striving to minimize the ever growing issue of overcrowded shelters and also the need of service dogs in Texas. SDI is dedicated to rescuing dogs from shelters and training them to be hearing and service dogs for Texans living with these disabilities. Thanks to generous donors we are able to train these dogs at no charge to the person who needs them. SDI is able to provide lifetime support for all dogs that we bring into our program and are committed to finding them a loving working home so that the dog will never see a shelter again.
