Imagine working in one of the most beautiful and peaceful spots in Florida, the joy of sharing it with thousands of visitors, the satisfaction of maintaining historic and botanical treasures like Pinewood Estate and endangered plant collections, and the fun of working with people of similar interests.

Volunteers are vital to the operations of Bok Tower Gardens, a world-class non-profit organization. Volunteer contributions, no matter how many hours, are significant to the success of our programs and the comfort and experience of our visitors. Each year, volunteers donate more than 45,000 hours to Bok Tower Gardens!

Description: Volunteers help in our plant shop by tending to the plants, helping guests select plants and more. This is a great position for those who love helping others and working along side our plant staff experts.

Commitment: 1 day a week for a minimum of 3 months

Shift: 12pm to 4pm

Scheduling: Any Day

Uniform: Business casual attire

  • Have an interest in indoor and outdoor plants, and helping people select the right plant for the right place
  • Enjoy interacting with people of all ages
  • Are able to walk, stoop, lift 10 pounds and stand for the duration of their shift
  • Enjoy working outdoors
  • Love the dirt
