ORGANIZATION: Greenheart Exchange

Bring the world to you by hosting an international exchange student for the 2018-2019 school year.

Exchange students:

  • Are ages 15-18 and come from over 60 countries
  • Study in the USA for a semester or school year
  • Have good English skills, bring their own spending money and have illness and accident insurance

Host Families are asked to provide:
  • Three daily meals
  • A place to study
  • Local transportation
  • A separate bed
  • Open communication, patience, flexibility and encouragement
  • A welcoming home that includes the student as a member of your family!

We engage our participants in active community service and volunteering during their programs in the U.S.

Description

Established in 1985, Greenheart Exchange is a nonprofit international education exchange organization dedicated to the promotion of cultural understanding, academic development, environmental consciousness and world peace. Based in Chicago, Illinois, Greenheart organizes high school exchange, short-term immersion homestays, intern and trainee, work & travel in the U.S. Greenheart connects people and planet through environmentalism, fair trade, social transformation and cross cultural understanding.
