Exchange students:
- Are ages 15-18 and come from over 60 countries
- Study in the USA for a semester or school year
- Have good English skills, bring their own spending money and have illness and accident insurance
Host Families are asked to provide:
- Three daily meals
- A place to study
- Local transportation
- A separate bed
- Open communication, patience, flexibility and encouragement
- A welcoming home that includes the student as a member of your family!

Description
Established in 1985, Greenheart Exchange is a nonprofit international education exchange organization dedicated to the promotion of cultural understanding, academic development, environmental consciousness and world peace. Based in Chicago, Illinois, Greenheart organizes high school exchange, short-term immersion homestays, intern and trainee, work & travel in the U.S. Greenheart connects people and planet through environmentalism, fair trade, social transformation and cross cultural understanding.
