Do you drone?
ORGANIZATION: Cascade Patch Community Garden
Please visit the new page to apply.
We need an experienced drone operator with their own drone to take some aerial shots of our small p-patch so we can create a more accurate map. We could patch together shots if the drone were not able to be high enough.
The plot is about the size of half a football field. We are on City Parkland and in the middle of a dense zone with apartments. We can clear the plot for the time necessary. We will rely on the operator to know how to take good photos, safely and legally.
We estimate about one hour to complete this and will work out a convenient time and date.

About Cascade Patch Community Garden
Location:
Thomas & Minor, Seattle, WA 98109, US
Mission Statement
We are one of 88 Community Gardens run by the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods. We have created an urban oasis in the middle of South Lake Union for individuals to produce healthy food, interact, build community and provide recreational opportunities.
Description
Each gardener leases a small plot from the city for their own use and puts in extra time to maintain the entire garden and community areas. If you are interested in your own plot search for Seattle P-Patch on the Internet.
We need additional volunteers to help maintain the food we raise for the food banks, and for the common areas. It's a quiet place to have lunch, or where some friends meet for tai chi, and an escape from concrete boxes nearby. Your help is needed to keep up this public garden, demonstrate good land use, prevent run-off, and provide habitat for native bees and songbirds.
Check out our monthly work parties as listed on the shed, or let us coordinate a day for your group.
