NY Based Researcher Needed for for Resiliency Initiative

Global Green is looking for a reseacher to support our work with evaluating resiliency strategies for communities nationally, including in the Gulf Coast and Puerto Rico.

Topics include:

- primary research on incentives for building sustainable energy, water and waste systems.

- background research on models for funding and building stormwater management

- assessment of current practices for cleaning up contaminated soil and brownfields

The researcher will work with the Global Green team as well as senior advisors in the field.

Due to the complexity and time required, this position is considerably more intensive in terms of the time required (at least 120 hours) than most volunteer positions at Global Green.

Global Green has influenced more than $20 billion dollars worth of building construction by encouraging the integration of green building and sustainability practices, and we’ve educated millions of people about climate-friendly solutions through our five annual events, including the green event of the year, our Pre-Oscar Party. Our impact has been felt across the country, particularly in areas affected by disasters such as Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans where we led green rebuilding efforts and continue to provide assistance and resources to local residents.
