Outside2Inside (O2I) is a non-profit organization based in Bay area, focused on reducing food waste through prevention, recovery and recycle though various creative programs.

Kids Food Waste Awareness (KFWA) Program is to bring awareness of food waste to kids in local schools and its reduction by Prevention, Recovering & Recycling. This is implemented by providing hands-on class projects which are designed to nourish their practical thinking ability. Our goal is to conduct this program in 5 schools per year and bring awareness of Food waste to 500+ kids.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking an organized, self-motivated curriculum coordinator to join our KFWA program team. In this position, you will assist the KFWA curriculum lead and program manager to help create KFWA programs curriculum contents, communicate with school officials, assisting in program readiness and follow up with schools to integrate KFWA program with school curriculum. This person will closely coordinate with the KFWA curriculum lead and program manager.

  1. Identify a list of public, private, chartered schools in Santa Clara county.
  2. Understand in general how curriculum is created for a new program in public, private & chartered schools.
  3. Document the curriculum creating procedure for new program in public, private & chartered schools and present to the KFWA program manager and O2I board.
  4. Create a process flow document for new KFWA program as part of the curriculum in the respective schools (public, private, chartered).
  5. Identify schools that might be interested in having a KFWA program. This involves calling up the right school officials and working with them to make this happen.
  6. List and document the resources, tools (h/w, s/w) needed for this program.
  7. Target to make KFWA program as a part of school curriculum in 5 schools (public, private, chartered) per year.
  8. Developing standards, systems and best practices (both human and technological) for KFWA program curriculum content creation, distribution, maintenance, content retrieval and content repurposing, including the real-time implementation of content strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • BA in Education, plus five to seven years of related experience required in instructional design, implementation and development.
  • Experience with curriculum design, delivery and maintenance, in both instructor-led and eLearning methodologies
  • Must have demonstrated experience in site administration, building content and developing curriculums
  • Organizational and time management skills to prioritize workloads to meet time sensitive deadlines required

Provide low-cost animal care in local farms by recycling food waste into animal feed reducing wastage of resources.

We prevent food waste through awareness programs, bringing food waste realization among the community, corporates and youth/kids.

Our Food recovery programs like Farm2School, Farm2Restaurant, and Farm2Work recovers the unattractive but otherwise nutritious produce from local farms and serve the deprived, needy in our society.

Our recycle program converts food waste into organic compost and animal feed serving urban households & local farms.

Outside2Inside is formed by a group of spirited individuals with the aim to reduce waste, hunger and create a clean, peaceful, healthy environment. This organization is based in Bay area.
